Crazy Dmg Dealing Ranger build
I have a question plz!
Me and my Guild fighted against a Guild called [patient relaxed people] and they owned the hell out off us ^^
And now i'd like to know how they did that.
I only saw 2 Ranger wich both casted kindle arrow -> double shot -> punishing shot -> distracting shot.
They also had 1 necro and 1 mesmer 1worrior and 3 monks
And one of those rangers had a 86 dmg Punishing shot
I tried that aswell but couldnt get such a high output..
We just cant explain how they got such a crazy dmg output..
Maybe one of u guys saw that guild aswell and can help us ?!
Would be great =)

Tigers Fury
Judges Insight
Vampiric
Melandrus Arrows
Dual Shot
or
QZ/SQ
Tigers Fury
JI (generally not possible but good if you can)
Quickshot
Kindle/Ignite Arrows
The two strongest ranger setups.

its not just about the dmg, i know there are builds with more dmg but i'd just like to know how they could deal such a huge amount of dmg (and im not only speaking of that 86 dmg punishing shot) they erased us in a few seconds..
So id like to know if there are any special combos maybe with the mesmer or the necro wich could make such a big dmg output..

Did you notice any hexes on you, because Some Necro and mesmer hexes can bring your health down fast

The way I usually break over 100 damage with my ranger is with a combination of Melandru's Arrows and either power shot or penetrating shot...I've gotten over 80 on a warrior with Melandru's on, though...and dual shot with Melandru's is ugly. Very ugly. Of course, it all depends on the target's enchantments...

I didnt see too many hexes, only one Necro casting Barb but thats it and the rangers surely didn't use melandrus they used Punishing shot.
Thats why im wondering. The Rangers used kindle -> double shot with vampiric
But still i just dont know how they killed our monks in a few seconds with that build and the only direct dmg we saw came from those 2 Rangers.
And now for the very last time i know milandrus can deal some massive dmg but thats not the point i just like to know if u guys have any idea how they could have dealt this dmg with PUNISHING SHOT - kindle arrow - vampiric
Thx for your help =)

If the people who dropped quickly were close together, maybe the necro Mark of Pained the target they were all attacking?

Let's see...+21 for Kindle at 13 WS, +21 again for Punishing at 16 Marks, a customized +15^50 bow, and I would suspect Judge's Insight from one of the Monks, dropping the Warrior's effective AL. 86 damage on a Punishing doesn't seem terribly far out of line.

ahahahha i played them too. they use preps with conjures, and QS. no melandrus or anything. we actualy beat them, the trick is to take the altar first (we played on broken tower lol), then just out res them. healing seed owns them.
so once again, they used a mesmer with lingering, and like 200 rangers with QS and preps/conjures. when you died all you could see was like -20 all over your screen. it was funny. just out res them, morale boost from the altar FTW
as nearly as i could tell there were no actual bow attacks, it was just 1 attack + QS for like 2 instant hits. towards the end our monks picked up and actually figured out how to stop it, but theyre spike didnt work against the ghost, they got him to like 20% before woh owned them. they did kill him once but, bodyblocking their ghost FTW. it was a funny/long/weird match.
i was playing necro then, and i was never interupted, so i doubt they used things like punishing or distracting when spiking. but i am guessing they would have used savage + distracting on our ghost if he tried to cap
oh and shit talking owns them too, if you piss a team off enough they start to do dumb things. ofcourse it backfires on you when you lose, but its still fun

I bet you got fragged and didnt know it. Incediary arrows + fragility = dead in a few seconds. 8 to be exact.

actually im pretty sure all of the above is true. i saw pRp go into the halls like 3 or so times (not consec). so im guessing they were trying new things out... i got in their QS build, maybe some others got into the melandrus one and someone else in a frag variation. either way, lets hope they dont do that retarded 4 hour hold again >.<

its kinda hard not to know...first a big fragility icon in the top left...followed by most likely a cripple...followed by you being on fire...falling over backwards every few moments while the ground underneath you flashes furiously...
hmmm.... could easily be mistaken for phantasm -.-;

First of all i would have noticed fragility!
Second like i said they used punishing shot as elite therefore no Incediary arrows.
And third i got down in less than 8 seconds.
I guess they did it with JI. Cant think of any other way =)
But thx again
So long,
